spices 1 King 10:2 1 cup Genesis 24:11 2 cups each 1 Samuel
25:18 1 cup Genesis 43:11
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, Mix salt flour, baking powder, and spices
(such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice). Mix honey with water and add
alternately to first mixture with mixed dry ingredients. Add raisins,
figs, and nuts. Pour into greases loaf pan or angel cake pan. Bake
at 375 degrees until it tests done.
P.S.------ This is a
very special and unusual recipe. If you will check your Bible references,
you will actually find these ingredients listed there. In Jeremiah,
Chapter 6 verse 20, you will find "sweet cane". which would be
about the same as sugar. Don't you think this would be a nice cake to
take to your next church function?ENJOY IT
